Cosplay aside, one of the most interesting aspects of working a ReedPOP show is the impressive and eclectic display of tattoos our fans proudly showcase for all the convention to see. Never before has self-expression been so important in our society, and tattoos provide a permanent expression of both personal branding and artistic flair, and since a tattoo is so closely interwoven with the vibe (and skin) of the actual person wearing it, no two pieces of ink are ever the same.
Last October during New York Comic Con, while I was working crowd control in the Queue Hall, I got a chance to not only meet and greet many of our passionate fans, but also a front row viewing of some of the coolest tattoos at the show. And since my role is creating content for social media, it was a no brainer for me to snap pictures of some of my favorites. Thanks to everyone who generously participated.
From a plethora of Star Wars tats to superheroes, check out NYCC's best tattoos. C2E2, think you can beat surfboarding Jesus?
