Kim's Panel Picks: Must-See Panels from C2E2's Content Queen

Some people go to C2E2 for the exclusives. Some for the publishers on the show floor. Others go to get autographs. Others, still, go to get one-of-a-kind sketches in Artist Alley. Me, I'm partial to the panels...although I may be a little biased. Hi, I'm Kim. I'm the Director of Content & Talent at C2E2, and one of my main roles is putting together all the show's panels, screenings and special events along with my beautiful and talented team, MK and Ali. We start with close to a thousand submissions -- educational, entertaining, and often crazy panels from fans and partners, plus the weird, wacky ideas we come up with on our own (We'll be doing a petting zoo someday). After months of healthy debate, along with some unhealthy blood and tears, we end up with nearly 200 events lovingly placed onto C2E2's schedule for your convention-going pleasure. The full schedule just went live Tuesday, and there's something for everyone. In fact, there's always something awesome going on, and, more often than not, it’s really hard to pick between events. To help, I decided to hand pick five of my favorites.

These panels aren't the ones with the biggest celebrities or the ones with the top secret publisher announcements. Nope, these are my personal picks. These are the ones I'm going to sneak away to check out (don’t tell Lance). Here are my can't miss panels:

Comedy Mutant with Brian Posehn, Myq Kaplan and Mike Drucker

Saturday, April 27th – 5:00 PM – IGN Theater
Ever notice how many random movies Brian Posehn is in? That dude pops up everywhere. Glad he’s popping up at C2E2 so I can finally meet him!

Beer & Comics

Friday, April 26th – 6:30 PM – Room 470a
I love wine first and foremost, but I'm really excited for this panel. I think the title says it all, no further explanation required.

The Cyanide & Happiness Panel

Friday, April 26th – 3:45 PM – Room 470a
I love sick and twisted humor.

Meet R.L. Stine, Who Has Been Giving Us Goosebumps for 20 Years!

Sunday, April 28th – 2:00 PM – Room 470b
It took me nearly 20 years, but I finally have the courage to read Goosebumps in bed... sort of... I mean during the day, just not at night.

Injustice: Gods Among Us

Saturday, April 27th – 1:30 PM – Room 471
The guys who made Mortal Kombat are making a game with Batman, Superman and (not) friends. This game is going to be ridiculous, and Wonder Woman looks jacked. Love it!

Those are my favorites. We'll, my favorites I can talk about right now. There's more to come, and while I have the hardest time keeping secrets, I'm trying my best to keep silent. I can't talk about some of my top panels yet, but I look forward to spilling the beans closer to April.

What do you think of my favorites? Agree? Disagree? Are your favorites my favorites, or are there other panels you're really looking forward to? Check out the full schedule and let me know!
