By Plane
- O'Hare International Airport (773-686-2200) handles more passengers than any other airport in the world. For visitors needing information or directions, airport information booths are located on the lower levels of the domestic terminals and on the upper and lower levels of the International Terminal. A foreign currency exchange is located on the lower level of the International Terminal. It's 13 miles from O’Hare to downtown. During rush-hour it can take about an hour. During the middle of the day and evenings it takes around 30 minutes. Taking a taxi to/from the airport varies depending on travel time from $30-50 from O’Hare.
The CTA Blue Line (‘L’) provides 24-hour rapid transit service between Chicago-O’Hare International Airport and the Forest Park terminal, via downtown Chicago. A single-ride from O’Hare to downtown Chicago costs $2.25. Visit CTA’s web site for more information on fares and the Chicago Card.
- Midway Airport(773.838.0600) is located at 5700 South Cicero Avenue and is conveniently located 10 miles from downtown Chicago. Midway’s one terminal building has three concourses – A, B and C.Airport information booths are located in the ticketing lobby, baggage claim and the concessions food court. Midway has two primary parking lots:Terminal Garage (with daily and hourly parking) located adjacent to the terminal building and Economy Parking located along 55 Street. There is a complimentary shuttle between the economy parking lots and the terminal building every 15 minutes. Travel between Midway and downtown Chicago is normally 20 minutes but during rush-hour periods, travel times may increase to 45 minutes. The airport is served by the CTA Orange Line train which is a 25 minute trip from downtown. All vehicle pick-up services are available on the lower level roadway. - Gary Chicago International Airport (219-949-9722) is located in Gary, Indiana at 6001 W. Industrial Hwy. Just 35 minutes from downtown Chicago, it offers 24-hour parking and convenient access to I-90, I-80/94, I-65, the Chicago Skyway, the Dan Ryan Expressway and Lake Shore Drirve
- GO Airport Express departs every 10-15 minutes from O’Hare and Midway baggage claim. From O’Hare: Cost is $25 per person one–way or roundtrip $46; more than one traveler - $18 per person one-way or roundtrip $34. From Midway: Cost is $20 per person one-way or roundtrip $36; more than one traveler - $14 per person one-way or roundtrip $26.

By Train
METRA services the Midwest as far north as Kenosha, Wisconsin; northwest to Fox Lake and Harvard; west to Elgin, Geneva and Aurora; southwest to Joliet and Orland Park; south to University Park; and east to South Bend, Indiana. METRA provides direct service within seven minutes to and from downtown Chicago to McCormick Place. Service from the Randolph Station (nearby the Fairmont Hotel) to McCormick Place begins early morning, with more frequent pick-ups during rush hours. Shuttle connections can be made to the METRA system.
By Public Transit - CTA
- From Downtown Chicago to McCormick Place: From Jackson Blue or Red Lines or from the Adams/Wabash Brown, Green, Orange, Pink and Purple Express Line station, walk east to Michigan Avenue and board a southbound #3 King Drive. Buses run every 8 - 15 minutes from early morning to midnight daily.
Take the #3 bus to one of these McCormick Place bus stop locations:
South Building – King Drive and 23rd Street (Stop is called “McCormick Place”)
West Building – Cermak and Prairie

Or, transfer from all CTA rail lines serving downtown to the Red Line (southbound Dan Ryan Red) train to Cermak-Chinatown station. Transfer to an eastbound #21 Cermak bus. Take the #21 Eastbound bus to McCormick Place.

- From Union Station to McCormick Place: The #129 bus runs directly to McCormick Place, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5:30 pm. Otherwise, from the corner of Canal Street and Jackson Blvd, take the #7 Jackson to Michigan Avenue, obtain a transfer to the #3 which will take you to McCormick Place.
- From the Ogilvie Transportation Center to McCormick Place: The #129 bus runs directly to McCormick Place, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5:30 pm. Otherwise, take any bus to Michigan Avenue, obtain a transfer to the #3 King Drive which will take you to McCormick Place.
By Car
Directions to McCormick Parking LOT C
(For Parking at Lakeside Center and Arie Crown Theater)
- From O'Hare International Airport (22 miles), Northwest or the North:
Follow I-190 East to I-90 East. This turns into I-90/94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway). Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) onto US-41 South (Lake Shore Drive). Exit at 31st St. and turn left over the Lake Shore Dr. Bridge to Ft. Dearborn Drive. Turn left and follow signs to Lot C.
- From the West:
Take I-290 East (Eisenhower Expressway) to I-94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway). Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) onto US-41 South (Lake Shore Drive). Exit at 31st St. and turn left over the Lake Shore Dr. Bridge to Ft. Dearborn Drive. Turn left and follow signs to Lot C.
- From Midway Airport (10 miles) or Southwest:
Take I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) to Lake Shore Drive South. Exit at 31st Street and turn left over the Lake Shore Dr. Bridge to Ft. Dearborn Drive. Turn left and follow signs to Lot C.
- From the South or Indiana via I-80/94:
From I-80/94, exit at I-94 West (Bishop Ford Expressway) and proceed on I-94 West (Dan Ryan Expressway). Follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) to US-41 South (Lake Shore Drive). Exit at 31st St. and turn left over the Lake Shore Dr. Bridge to Ft. Dearborn Drive. Turn left and follow signs to Lot C.
- From Indiana-Skyway:
Take I-90 West (Indiana Tollway turns into the Chicago Skyway). Merge onto I-90/94 West (Dan Ryan Expressway). Exit at I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) to US-41 South (Lake Shore Drive). Exit at 31st St. and turn left over the Lake Shore Dr. Bridge to Ft. Dearborn Drive. Turn left and follow signs to Lot C.
- From North Lake Shore Drive (US-41):
From US-41 (Lake Shore Drive), exit at 31st St. and turn left over the Lake Shore Dr. Bridge to Ft. Dearborn Drive. Turn left again and follow signs to Lot C.
- From South Lake Shore Drive (US-41):
From US-41 (Lake Shore Drive), exit at 31st St. Stay to the right onto Ft. Dearborn Drive. Follow signs to Lot C.
- From Congress Parkway:
From Congress Parkway, turn right onto Columbus Drive (South). Merge with US-41 South (Lake Shore Drive). Exit at 31st St. Turn left over the Lake Shore Dr. bridge to Ft. Dearborn Drive. Turn left again and follow signs to Lot C.

- From Midway Airport (10 miles) or Southwest:
Take I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.
- From the South or Indiana via I-80/94:
From I-80/94, exit at I-94 West (Bishop Ford Expressway) and proceed on I-94 West (Dan Ryan Expressway). Follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

From Lake Shore Drive, exit at 31st Sreet. and turn left (West). Turn right on Martin L. King Drive. Turn left on 24th Place. Follow signs to Lot A.
- From Congress Parkway:
From Congress Parkway, turn right onto Michigan Avenue Proceed south to Cermak Road. (E. 22nd Street). Turn left on Cermak Road, to Martin Luther King Drive. Follow signs to Lot A.
Driving Directions to Soldier Field Parking
- Driving from I-55 (Midway):
Take I-55, the Stevenson Expressway, northbound to Lake Shore Drive/Highway 41 North. Take LSD north to the 18th Drive exit.
- Driving from I-290 (Western Suburbs):
Take I-290, the Eisenhower Expressway, east to Congress Parkway. Take Congress Parkway to Columbus Drive. Turn right and take Columbus Drive south to the 18th Drive exit.
- Driving from I-90/94 (Indiana):
Take I-90/94, the Dan Ryan Expressway, north to the Lake Shore Drive/22nd street exit. Stay to the right and exit to LSD. Take LSD/Highway 41 north to the 18th Drive exit.
- Driving from I-94 (O’Hare):
Take I-94, the Kennedy Expressway, south to the Congress Parkway exit. Follow Congress Parkway to Columbus Drive. Turn right on Columbus Drive and follow Columbus south to the 18th Drive exit.
Walking Directions from Solider Field Parking Lot to Lakeside Center:
Exit your vehicle and begin walking south towards the Lakeside Center (the large black building), the lake will be to the left. Follow the walkway leading into the Lakeside Center. There are a couple of stair banks outside of the Lakeside Center, do not use any of the stair banks. When you reach the end of the walkway, you will cross a one-lane road, watch for cars coming from your right and cross over the road. The doors to the Lakeside Center will be on your left. Once inside the Lakeside Center, there will be signs directing you to C2E2. You will be on Level One. Take a right inside the entrance and follow it to the carpeted area, from there you will see stairs, escalators and one elevator. For Fan Registration – proceed to Level 2. Pro Registration – Level 3.
